Arista 7800 Series – Modular 400G Spine Switches for AI and Cloud Data Centers
The Arista 7800R3 Series is Arista’s flagship modular platform for spine, AI cluster, and service provider core roles. Its cell-based, fully scheduled architecture – Virtual Output Queues, distributed credit scheduling, and deep buffering – makes even the largest 16-slot system behave like a single, 100% internally lossless switching chip, scaling to 576 x 400GbE ports and 460 Tbps in one chassis. All models run Arista EOS with FlexRoute, Accelerated sFlow, and Algorithmic ACLs.

Every chassis takes two supervisors, grid-redundant 3 kW power supplies, and any mix of 7800R3 / 7800R3A line cards. Factory bundles (chassis + power + fabric + supervisor) are available for each size in AC and DC, single or dual supervisor, and Secure Boot (Sup1S) configurations.

7800R4: The 800G / AI Spine Generation
The 7800R4 Series brings 800GbE to the same chassis family for AI cluster spine and accelerated-computing roles – up to 576 x 800GbE and 920 Tbps full duplex in the 7816L. R4 configurations use the 7804, 7808, 7812, and 7816L chassis with five R4 fabric modules plus a fabric cooling module, and 36-port OSFP800 line cards in three profiles: 7800R4C-36PE (compute-optimized, latency from 2.8 microseconds), 7800R4-36PE (standard FlexRoute), and 7800R4K-36PE (TunnelSec encryption capability, license-gated, + large routes). Factory R4 bundles are available for each chassis in AC/DC and Sup1A/Sup1S (Secure Boot) configurations.
