NVIDIA SN2000 Series – Spectrum 10/25/40/100GbE Switches (Formerly Mellanox)
The SN2000 series is the original Mellanox Spectrum generation: 100GbE-class Open Ethernet switches with a 16 MB fully shared packet buffer, 300ns cut-through latency, and support for NVIDIA Onyx, Cumulus Linux, or – via ONIE – SONiC and other network operating systems. These are the most widely deployed Spectrum switches on the secondary market, and most units carry both a Mellanox OPN (MSN20xx-…) and an NVIDIA 920- part number for the same hardware.

Airflow and Software Variants
Each model ships in two airflow builds: P2C (power-side intake, port-side exhaust – blue FRU handles; OPN letter F) and C2P (port-side intake, power-side exhaust – red FRU handles; OPN letter R). Mellanox-format OPNs also encode the software designation: a trailing C = Cumulus Linux, O = ONIE, no letter = NVIDIA Onyx.
