The Juniper ACX2100 is a 1U universal metro access router that pairs sixteen T1/E1 ports with four Gigabit Ethernet RJ-45 ports, four Gigabit Ethernet combination ports (RJ-45 or SFP, one set active at a time), two Gigabit Ethernet SFP ports, and two 10GbE SFP+ ports, in AC or DC versions. Its T1/E1 density kept it in service for legacy circuit emulation and cell-site backhaul long after pure-Ethernet routers arrived. Juniper announced end of life on June 28, 2023 (last order June 28, 2024, end of support June 28, 2029), so refurbished units are now the only source for spares and expansion of existing deployments.
There is no current ACX7000 model with T1/E1 ports; sites that still need them keep ACX2100s in service (supported to 2029), while Ethernet-only sites move to the ACX7024.
