Used Juniper MX10003
Used MX10003 Routers Offer Advanced Specifications in a Space-efficient Design
The MX10003 router is a high-density, scalable router in a small frame. It’s aimed at service providers and cloud operators – like the MX2000 subseries of routers – but it’s designed solely for edge routing applications.
The number of ports and supported Ethernet speeds on the MX10003 make it a great long-term networking solution as it provides extensive flexibility, and it does so without requiring a lot of space. Despite the size of the MX10003, its specifications are comparable to some of the most high-performing MX Series routers.
Pre-owned Juniper MX10003 Routers Are Small, But Powerful
The MX10003 separates itself from other MX Series routers because it packs high-end specifications into such a small frame. It’s also extremely energy efficient.
The MX10003 has a maximum throughput of 4.8 Tbps in only 3 rack units (RU), which limits it to two Modular Port Concentrators (MPC). Each MPC holds up to two Modular Interface Cards (MIC) that allow for different combinations of Ethernet ports.
Pre-owned Juniper MX10003 routers support 10G, 40G and 100G Ethernet at ultra-high port densities. Each MPC supports half the total number of 10G, 40G and 100G Ethernet ports. Below is a more direct comparison of MX10003 routers versus other MX Series routers.
The MX10003 Outperforms Similar-sized MX Series Routers in Nearly Every Specification
Although the MX10003 has only two MPCs, it has a much higher overall port density compared with other MX Series routers. For example, MX240 routers also have two MPCs, but the overall port densities for 10G, 40G and 100G Ethernet ports are only 80, 24 and 8, respectively. The MX10003, on the other hand, is capable of supporting up to 144 10G Ethernet ports, 36 40G Ethernet ports and 24 100G Ethernet ports.
Another useful feature of used Juniper MX10003 routers is low power consumption. In fact, the MX10003 manages to consume only 0.8 W/Gb of throughput. The MX204, which is 1 RU and supports only up to 10G Ethernet consumes more power at 0.9 W/Gb of throughput. And, although pre-owned MX10003 routers are suited for similar services as the MX2000 subseries of MX Series routers, only one or two MX2000 routers fit in a standard mounting rack, whereas up to 14 used surplus Juniper MX10003 routers will fit in a rack.

We Believe the Quality of Our Used Juniper MX10003 Routers is as Important as the Price
You won’t find better prices on pre-owned MX10003 routers. But you also won’t find equipment that’s in better condition than the hardware we sale. When you purchase used Juniper MX10003 routers from us, you’re getting equipment that’s been certified by a thorough testing procedure.
Our procedure, called the 9-Point Quality Control and Testing Process, assesses every key aspect of a machine’s ability to perform. We check to make sure all fans and power supplies are operational; we test all physical ports, and we remove all dust and debris to help prevent any issues in the future. On top of verifying the performance of all our in-stock hardware, every piece of equipment we sale includes BrightStar Systems’ 1-Year In-House Warranty.
Please contact our sales team today if you’re interested in buying used MX10003 routers from us, and we’ll get the process started right away.
Our Combined Services Add to the Dollar Amount You Receive for Your Equipment
We purchase used MX10003 routers in bulk from anywhere in the world, as long as they’re in working condition. We understand you may not have the resources to oversee the sale of all your pre-owned equipment, which is why we do everything we can to help you sell your hardware.
If you have used equipment that’s been sitting on shelves for a long period of time and are unsure of whether or not it’s functioning properly, we’ll test it for you at no cost. And if you’re worried about organizing shipping for a large order, we’ll help set up that as well. Once we’ve confirmed your order, we’ll schedule the freight pickup at a time that’s convenient for you. And we don’t only help set up shipping; we pay for it too.
If you have pre-owned Juniper MX10003 routers that you would like to sell, contact us today. We’ll make sure you get the most value out of your equipment.
Our Payment Processes Let You Decide How to Send and Receive Your Money
When we purchase your used equipment, we’re willing to pay you in advance, and – as long as there are no issues with the equipment – you’ll keep the entire payment. But if you’d prefer we wait and pay you after we’ve verified the equipment works properly, we can do that as well.
We’re also flexible on our sales payments. We don’t use standard rates; we adjust prices for every single order, because every order is different – especially if you’re buying specific parts. Once you’ve settled on what you’d like to buy, we’ll work with you come up with a final price.
