NVIDIA Switches - Spectrum Open Ethernet Switches (Formerly Mellanox)
BrightStar Systems supplies used and refurbished NVIDIA Spectrum Ethernet switches - the fixed-configuration data center switching line that began at Mellanox Technologies (acquired by NVIDIA in 2020) and now anchors NVIDIA's AI networking portfolio. Every Spectrum generation pairs a fully shared packet buffer with RoCE-optimized forwarding and the Open Ethernet model: the same hardware runs NVIDIA Onyx, Cumulus Linux, or - via ONIE - SONiC and other network operating systems. Most Mellanox-era systems carry two interchangeable part numbers (the MSN-format OPN and a newer 920- NVIDIA number); both identify the same switch.

SN5000 Series - Spectrum-4, 400/800GbE for AI Fabrics
The Spectrum-4 generation is the Ethernet backbone of NVIDIA's Spectrum-X AI networking platform: SN5600 (64 x OSFP 800GbE, 51.2 Tbps), SN5400 (64 x 400GbE), plus the busbar-powered SN5600D and the 4-PSU SN5610. We also stock replacement fan modules, power supplies, and rail kits for the SN4000 and SN5000 series.

Airflow, Software and Part-Number Variants
Every Spectrum system ships in two airflow builds: P2C (power-side intake, port-side exhaust - blue FRU handles) and C2P (port-side intake, power-side exhaust - red FRU handles). Mellanox-format OPNs encode airflow as F (P2C) or R (C2P), and the software designation as a trailing C (Cumulus Linux), O (ONIE), or no letter (NVIDIA Onyx). Software licensing and subscription entitlements are not conveyed with refurbished hardware. If you are unsure which variant fits your hot-aisle/cold-aisle layout or software stack, send us your requirements and we will confirm the right OPN.

Why Buy Refurbished NVIDIA / Mellanox Switches from BrightStar
Every unit is professionally inspected, tested on original-spec firmware, factory reset, and configuration wiped, with warranty included (1 year end-user / 90 days reseller). Data center switching of this class is typically project-priced - request a quote and our team will respond quickly with availability and configuration guidance.
