The Juniper ACX2000 Series universal metro access routers are compact 1U platforms running Junos OS. The ACX2200 is fanless, built for passive cooling in outdoor deployments, with four GbE RJ-45, four GbE combination, two GbE SFP and two 10GbE SFP+ ports plus IEEE 1588v2, SyncE and BITS timing; the ACX2100 adds sixteen T1/E1 ports for legacy circuit emulation and cell-site backhaul. Juniper announced end of life for the ACX2100 and ACX2200 on June 28, 2023: last order June 28, 2024, end of support June 28, 2029, so refurbished units are the source for spares and expansion through 2029.
