BrightStar Systems buys and sells used and refurbished enterprise networking hardware, mainly Arista and Juniper, along with Cisco and NVIDIA (Spectrum/Mellanox) switches, routers, line cards and optics. Founded in 2012, we have offices in Sacramento and San Jose, California, and our team brings more than 65 years of combined experience in the network equipment industry. Buyers get tested hardware backed by our own warranty. Companies retiring equipment get a written offer, freight paid.

How We Test
Every used or refurbished unit goes through our 9-point quality control and testing process before it ships. We inspect for physical damage, confirm rack-mounting hardware and serial numbers, clean the unit, verify fans and power supplies, restore factory defaults, test every physical port, run the device for at least one hour after it reaches full operating temperature, and verify that all modules are operational and error-free. Our Warranty
Used and refurbished equipment we sell carries BrightStar’s own warranty: one year for end users and 90 days for resellers, covering defects and failure to perform to the manufacturer’s published hardware specifications. Optional extended coverage of up to 5 years is available with your quote, and fewer than 1% of the units we ship are returned under warranty. If a unit fails, you deal with us directly: we issue an RMA, send a return label for confirmed defects, and repair, replace or refund within 10 working days of receiving it.
New Equipment and Partnerships
BrightStar is a Cisco partner and sells new Cisco equipment alongside refurbished hardware, so customers can mix new and pre-owned gear in one project. We are also an APC and Eaton partner, supplying new PDUs and UPS systems for the data center, as well as fiber and Ethernet cabling.
Our Cisco partnership gives customers access to current Cisco products for upgrades and new builds, alongside Cisco Refresh and refurbished Cisco hardware. Our APC and Eaton partnerships cover power distribution and backup power for data center racks, including PDUs and UPS systems.
