The EX4300-32F layer 3 switch belongs to Juniper Networks’ portfolio of EX4300 Ethernet switches, which are purpose-built to provide high-performing, scalable solutions that are ideal for multiple networking environments. The EX4300-32F offers customers both 1-Gigabit Ethernet as well as multi-gig switching options. The inclusion of Juniper’s Virtual Chassis allows the EX4300 to scale to as many as 10 members. The EX4300 is ideal as a pay-as-you-grow scalable solution that businesses can rapidly deploy to improve productivity and increase revenue.
Juniper EX4300-32F Details
The EX4300-32F provides layer 2 and 3 switching capabilities and enables multiple deployments such as data center and campus access. Customers may initially deploy either a 24- or 48-port EX4300 switch and are able to combine as many as 10 EX4300 and/or EX4600 switches in order to benefit from a single-device, pay-as-you-grow solution that is ideal for scaling networking environments. The EX4300-32F integrates with 10- and 40-Gigabit Ethernet switches that belong to the Juniper QFX5100 product line. Additionally, customers may interconnect multiple EX4300-32F switches over various 40-GbE QSFP+ ports to establish a 320 Gbps backplane. The EX4300 can also enable high-speed connectivity to core- or aggregation-layer switches using a flexible uplink module in order to connect multiple buildings and/or floors.
Juniper EX4300-32F vs EX4300-32F-S
Both the Juniper EX4300-32F and EX4300-32F-S belong to the EX4300 line of Ethernet switches and are very similar. However, the EX4300-32F-S supports the uplink module expansion slot type while the EX4300-32F supports the QSFP+ slot type. Additionally, the EX4300-32F includes 40 expansion slots and has an RoHS environmental certification, whereas the EX4300-32F-S only includes 38 expansion slots and has an RoHS-6 environmental certification.
