    QFX5100-48S-AFO Layer 3 Switch

    The QFX5100-48S-AFO is one of several QFX5100 Series switches. It’s a compact, energy efficient switch that’s designed for 10G Ethernet applications.

    Measuring only 1 RU, this model has 48 SFP+ ports that support up to 10G Ethernet and six QSFP+ ports that support up to 40G Ethernet.

    Unlike some other QFX5100 models, the QFX5100-48S-AFO does not support any expansion modules. However, there’s still some flexibility in terms of port density. Each QSFP+ port can be broken out into four 10G ports, which increases the total number of 10G ports to 72.

    The maximum capacity of the QFX5100-48S-AFO is 1.44 Tbps.

    This model has two management ports, which is standard for QFX5100 switches. One of the ports is an RJ-45 and the other is an SFP. Both ports support up to 1G Ethernet.

    The QFX5100-48S-AFO is designed with front-to-back airflow. It has an AC power supply and its power consumption is only 150 W. Like all other QFX5100-48S switches, the QFX5100-48S-AFO has the lowest power consumption of all QFX5100 switches.
