Sell NVIDIA Equipment – Spectrum Switches, GPUs & DGX Systems (SN5000, SN4000, H100)
BrightStar Systems buys used and decommissioned NVIDIA Spectrum Ethernet switches from enterprises, data centers, AI operators, and IT asset managers – led by the current Spectrum-4 SN5000 series and Spectrum-3 SN4000 series, and covering every generation back through the Mellanox-era SN3000 and SN2000 platforms. We also buy NVIDIA data center GPUs and DGX/HGX systems. Send us your part list and we will return a written offer within one business day. We pay the freight – including international shipments – and payment is issued within 5 days of testing completion.
We buy enterprise and data center hardware only; we do not purchase consumer or gaming graphics cards.

This list changes as our inventory needs change. If your equipment is not listed, send the part numbers anyway – we quote the full Spectrum line and NVIDIA data center hardware continuously.
Why Sell Your NVIDIA Hardware to BrightStar Systems?
- Written offer within 1 business day of receiving your part list
- We pay the freight on all buybacks, including international shipments – carrier arranged, packing guidance and palletization support included
- Payment within 5 days of testing completion, by wire transfer or ACH
- All testing in-house at our Sacramento, California facility – serial numbers, quantities, and condition confirmed against the agreed inventory before payment is released
- UNEDA member (United Network Equipment Dealer Association) with 20+ years in enterprise networking hardware
- We resell what we buy. BrightStar is the buyer, not a broker – your equipment goes into our tested refurbished inventory, which is why we can quote quickly and pay on schedule
How Our Buyback Process Works
- Send your list – part numbers, quantities, and condition. Photos or an asset-system export help on larger lots.
- Written offer in 1 business day – per-model pricing, in writing.
- We arrange and pay for shipping – domestic or international, with packing guidance, labels, and palletization support for larger shipments.
- Testing at our Sacramento facility – serials, quantities, and condition verified against the agreed inventory.
- Payment within 5 days of testing completion – wire or ACH.
How We Handle and Test Incoming Hardware
Configurations are removed and devices are reset to factory defaults when they arrive, before any testing or refurbishment. Switches are tested on original-spec firmware, factory reset, and configuration wiped before entering refurbished inventory; GPUs are inspected and tested in our facility.
Common Scenarios for Selling NVIDIA Equipment
- AI cluster refresh or rebuild: moving to Blackwell-generation systems or a new fabric design and selling the outgoing Spectrum-4/Spectrum-3 switching and GPUs together
- Cancelled or completed AI project: pilot clusters, completed programs, or cancelled deployments – often lightly-used, current-generation SN5000/SN4000 hardware
- Excess procurement: unopened or excess current-generation units from over-ordering
- Data center decommission: full-facility or per-row decommissions – we quote the Spectrum switching, GPU nodes, and your Arista and Juniper equipment from one part list, including older Mellanox-era fabrics
Switch Buyback and Data Center Decommissioning
For data center decommissions we work with your on-site teams or third-party partners to handle packing, palletization, and pickup, and we can work in phases or around maintenance windows. For smaller quantities we coordinate freight or parcel shipping at our cost. Because we also buy Arista and Juniper equipment, one part list covers the whole rack: GPUs, servers, switching, and optics quoted together.
FAQ – Selling Used NVIDIA Equipment
Who pays for shipping when selling NVIDIA equipment to BrightStar?
BrightStar pays the freight on all buybacks, including international shipments. We arrange the carrier, cover the cost, and provide packing guidance, labels, and palletization support for larger shipments. You do not pay to ship equipment to us, whether you are in the United States or overseas.
How quickly does BrightStar pay for used NVIDIA hardware?
Payment is issued within 5 days of testing completion. We pay by wire transfer or ACH. Testing begins as soon as equipment arrives at our Sacramento facility, and we confirm serial numbers, quantities, and condition against the agreed inventory before payment is released.
Does BrightStar buy consumer or gaming graphics cards?
No. BrightStar buys enterprise and data center hardware: data center GPUs such as the H100, H200, A100, and L40S, professional RTX workstation cards, DGX and HGX systems, GPU servers, and NVIDIA/Mellanox Spectrum switches. We do not purchase consumer gaming cards such as GeForce RTX desktop GPUs.
What information does BrightStar need to quote used NVIDIA hardware?
Send part numbers, quantities, and condition for each item. For switches, the full OPN (for example MSN2700-CS2FC or 920-9N42F-00RI-7C0) tells us the airflow and software build; if you only know the model, send that with a photo of the label. For GPUs, include the form factor (PCIe or SXM) and memory size. Most lists are quoted within one business day.
Which NVIDIA hardware holds the highest resale value?
Spectrum-4 platforms – the SN5600, SN5610, and SN5400 – hold value best, followed by the Spectrum-3 SN4700 and SN4600 families. Earlier Mellanox-era units in clean, matched-airflow lots remain in steady demand at lower price points. On the GPU side, H100 and H200 hold value best, followed by the A100 80GB. Complete units with power supplies, fans, rails, and matched configurations consistently price above incomplete ones.
What affects the offer price for used Spectrum switches?
The main factors, roughly in order of impact: platform generation, completeness and airflow match across the lot, quantity, and physical and functional condition. Matched lots of the same OPN generally price better per unit than mixed singles, and a switch missing fans, rails, or a power supply will be offered materially less than a complete one.
Can BrightStar handle an on-site decommission?
Both options work. For smaller quantities we coordinate freight or parcel shipping at our cost. For data center decommissions we work with on-site teams or third-party partners to handle packing, palletization, and pickup, and we can work in phases or around maintenance windows. We quote NVIDIA hardware alongside Arista and Juniper equipment from the same facility.
How does BrightStar handle configurations and data?
Configurations are removed and devices are reset to factory defaults when they arrive, before any testing or refurbishment. Equipment is wiped and tested in our facility before entering refurbished inventory.
Does BrightStar buy NVIDIA equipment outside the United States?
Yes. BrightStar buys used NVIDIA equipment from sellers outside the United States and covers international freight the same way it covers domestic shipments. Include the country the equipment ships from along with your part numbers, quantities, and condition. All transactions are subject to US export control and sanctions regulations.
